How to Put On Press-On Nails
Materials Needed
- Nail file
- Buffer
- Cuticle stick
- Nail glue
- Adhesive tabs *for when you want to reuse them whenever and as much times as you want. Maybe you just want them on for a night out to dinner, etc💖 The tabs included with your set are amazing. They stay on all day/all night.*Be sure not to touch the sticky part while applying (it'll lessen the stickiness) and once on, don't get them wet.Â
- Acohol wipes
- Be sure your nails are clean and dry at the beginning of prep.
- Use a nail polish remover or alcohol wipes to remove any oils or residue from your nails.
- Gently push back your cuticles using a cuticle stick.
- File and buff the surface of your natural nails. This helps the press-on nails adhere better.
- Apply Adhesive
- If using adhesive tabs, apply them to your natural nails.
- If using nail glue, apply a decent amount of glue to your natural nail. Be sure you are using enough glue for it to spread and adhere to your nail bed and the press-on nail.Â
- Align the press-on nail at a 45° angle, then press down firmly aligning them near your cuticle area and making sure the glue spreads throughout the whole nail. Hold down for about 10-15 seconds for each nail.
- Keep nails dry for at least 2 hours after applying.
- When properly applied, your nails are sure to last a month if desired.
- Soak your nails in warm, soapy water for about 10-15 minutes. This helps loosen the adhesive.
- Gently Lift Nails (don't rip)
- Use a cuticle stick to gently lift the edge of the press-on nail. If it resists, soak longer or apply a little acetone with a cotton ball to dissolve the adhesive.
- Remove Excess Adhesive
- Once all nails are removed, use a cotton pad soaked in acetone-based nail polish remover to clean off any remaining glue from your natural nails.
- Gently buff your natural nails to restore their surface.
- Moisturize your hands and nails with lotion or cuticle oil to prevent dryness.
- By following these steps, you can enjoy beautiful press-on nails with ease and ensure your natural nails remain healthy and strong. Â
